Exhaust question
Hi guys I have an 11 m3 I recently took off the secondary cats and resonator to gain more sound.. I was wondering if I could do the oem mod as well with what I've done. Is there anything I need to consider before doing this? I don't wanna lose power just to gain sound...

The OEM mod is independent of any cat/resonator mods so no reason you cant do it. As for things to consider...the increase in volume will be substantial compared to simply removing the secondary cats and resonators with the stock rear section and the resulting sound will likely be very raspy.

I'd bet it will be quite raspy since you'd end up having a full straight piped setup.

I'm in the same boat. I've been debating whether to remove second cat and resonator or do OEM exhaust mod. Did you not get the sound increase you were looking for with CAT removal? I'm also having issues finding a shop to do the OEM exhaust mod.
