Another AA Green filter install review
I just received my AA green filter from jlevistreetwerks yesterday. Installation was easy. Just removed the intake hose and the air filter housing top off. Removed my oem filter and found it dirty and full of leaves and bugs. There was a lot of debris at the bottom of the intake housing - so i vacuumed it clean. Dropped in the filter and put everything back.
Test drive. Definitely faster at higher RPM. I am feeling a bigger difference because i had a dirty 08 oem filter with the carbon. It has a lot more pull in the 5k plus range. Sound. A very tiny bit more growl at cruising. Barely noticeable. However, after 5k its is much more aggressive but not as smooth. Sounds mean and a little raspy but not much. But it is definitely louder at the higher RPMs. Overall. I love it. Way better quality build than the OEM filter. And i love the sound. I dont want a loud car but i love the sound of a strong engine. |

I have AA filter on my '11 and I didn't feel any difference. But I knew I wouldn't because it's only like a 3hp gain in ideal weather. Plus my oem filter was new as well.
I like AA and their products, but I'm going to check on the rpi

Looking forward to mine as well. AA has always been great from all my research. The filter in particular has been "the" if not top 2 filters reviewed from my findings.

Its been 4 days with the AA green filter and i love it. Sounds great especially when I wind her up. Only problem is the increased engine sound is addicting and now i want some more exhaust sound.

Not sure, mine fit exactly like oem. Snug. It is tad bit hard squeezing the filter into the rubber knob thingy, but really not hard at all.

Yeah. I had to squeeze it in, I hate to do things like that as I tend to break shit easily. But it fits perfect. Thanks man!

I just installed mine the other day also and it's awesome. At first I couldn't tell any difference over the noise of my Akra, but once you give it some good throttle you can definitely hear it. Like the OP said at higher RPM the car seems a touch faster too... could just be my mind playin' tricks on me though.
I have an 08 as well.
