Labor cost of rod bearings with engine out of car
Playing with some numbers over lunch. Does anyone know what the book time is for doing the rod bearings on a S65 not in a car?

Is the engine on a stand or in a crate? Is it bare and dry or wet and with accessories? Are you using ARP bolts or stock bolts? I would think that with the engine on a stand and using ARP bolts, pulling the pan and pump to do the bearings might be in the 2 hour range for someone who has changed rod bearings before.

If I had a used motor on a stand, I'd do the mains too. More $ and time, but those things aren't exactly bullet proof (or so I read on the internet).
