Where? I wouldn't do it here, but I'd consider it somewhere with more hospitable weather.

It's a car.... I have one and I don't park it in a garage. It's not like the car will blow up if it's outside. As long as you live in a decent neighborhood it's a nonissue.

I'm too anal to have a nice car without a garage but obviously it works for some people.

I have a garage but my car sits outside every day. It's 5 years old and looks brand new. I'm just super, super attentive (anal?) about keeping it clean/maintained.

lol

I wouldn't buy one if it were sitting out on the street. Definitely not a new one...

Man listen, I bought mine without having a garage to put it in first. It's doable/livable. At the end of the day, do what you want. If you want the car--and it's not completely outside your means, then go and get it! Life is short.

Agree, life is short, if you have the money (and time to maintain the car!) - go for it!

Live down town Stockholm myself. No garage, daily driver i.e. winter too. Crazy careful and love keeping it in shape but it is after all BMW quality built to use.

cheers

I have had my car almost four years now and the only time it's been in a garage is when I travel and it sits in the airport garage. Keep the car clean and always have a good coat of wax on it and your fine, at least as far as Mother Nature is concerned!

Ultimately your decision will be driven by the neighborhood you live in and whether you have folks who might vandalize the car. Never had my issues in my area but only you can make call.

I wouldn't hold back on getting the car you want just bc you don't have a garage. Just have to wash it a little more often thats all

Same here. I would save money to get a house with garage way before getting a car that I would worry about sitting out.

Getting a house is $$$$$, getting a car is $$. I wouldn't really get a house just to garage the car lol. A car is a car (depreciating asset)

Am surprised no one suggested renting a garage space downtown? Agreed it is not the best, cheapest option but if it gives him peace of mind, that is certainly a viable option.

It's gonna be fine without a garage, OP. Invest in a car cover.

Right so before you go buy a 75K car you should be out of your moms basement. Priorities.
