Buying used M3, still confused
I've read lots of posts and done searches but I'm still confused, there is almost too much info to try and make sense of....sorry
If I buy a used DCT M3 from a dealer, how can I be sure I am getting the latest, best software for the DCT? Is there something he can show me? Thanks, sorry, I know is is beat to death. |

Some dealers will do software updates at other times when pressed and some dealers won't, but you will definitely be able to get the latest software now because of the bulletin (unless the car already had it done a couple months ago when the bulletin came out, in which case you're good to go).

Basically, don't worry about that. The upgrades -- as far as I'm aware -- are free. Educate yourself as to what to look for -- if anything -- which signifies the DCT has been abused, is faulty, etc.
