The pricing is pretty good. But Upgraded Stereo is $ 1900? Is it Logic7 or is it a individual Hi End?

the question on the Sound is based on 5 series pricing

logic 7 is $1200 there, so why $1900 on a 3.
It is $1900 in the M3 because there is no $1200 Logic7 option in it; you go from 10-speaker, non-DSP processing, amplified standard system all the way to 16-speaker, DSP processor, 825W amplified optional system. Thus, $1900...

I thought that you could only get it with the ZTP package.

Sound system is a double upgrade

the only explanation for the $1900 audio option is that in M3 this is the double upgrade rolled into one.

1st is Logic 7 system like on all the models (5, 3) at $1200

On top of that they give us Enhaced sound option or (DIRAC)

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/sho...ighlight=dirac

only available on M5 for extra $700.

That should make up $1900.

I would frankly be OK just with Logic 7 without more digital processing.

Question about Nav

Hey guys,

just a quick question regarding the Navigation System that comes with the ZTP. Is it the screen with 8.5 inches or 5.5 inches?
As far as I know, BMW offers two different Navs.

Thank you,

CSL

I ask myself the same question...

here is what i found on M5 board since they are the only guys who have this option in 08 M5s

" bought the sound upgrade for our 2008 E60 and used it for four weeks during ED this August. Sound is fantastic, but not as enjoyable at low volume levels. Speaker locations (or something else) requires that in order to enjoy the sound you must operate at levels where conversation is difficult. Perhaps the car without the sound upgrade has the same personality - don't know. Car should arrive in a couple of weeks and I'll get a chance to play with it some more."

The enhanced Premium Sound is coded as 752, which is the BMW individual upgrade... 825W, 16 speaker.... atleast that is what the Japanese M3 brochure says.

Some say it is. Personally, I'm going to be listening to the engine most of the time. And at that price, it's not worth it to me for a car. Too bad we don't have the Logic7 mid-range option like other countries. The base stereo in analog, at least, which makes upgrading later easier.

So, the standard 10 speaker system is not as good as what I got with my 335, right?

You can not get M Drive or comfort access as stand alone, right?

I can't wait.
That's what I have said all this time!!! The E43 was in the first bracket and if the E90 is more economical, there should not be a GG tax.

Just good news for us.

It's less than that. Someone posted that extended was 2000 or 2100, but I am just talking about regular non extended leather.

Technic mentioned that standard leather might only $1000. That would make sense as the premium package is only $1900. He was going to check with his dealer. I sent an email to mine.

I agree that would make sense, especially when looking at the extended leather pricing for ZPP vs. Non-ZPP. Let me know what you hear. Maybe I wll have the time to call my dealer and get the info from them.
