I'd have passed on buying my e92 M3 if I could have gotten a CSL... /sigh.

The history behind the CSL with only 800km on the clock is that a local dealer here in Denmark imported it for a customer. The customer didn't buy anyway for some reason.

Then the car was stored away in the basement at the dealer together with amongst others a mint BMW M1 and other special BMW's
The dealer put it for sale for dkk 540.000=$95.000+tax and had it for sale in 3-5 years.
Here in Denmark we have a very large tax on cars. To get it on the road aprox 180% tax was to be payed wich ends up in aprox dkk 1.5 mill=$266.000
Totally ridiculus!!!

E46 M3 CSL, best looking and sounding Bmw ever , but time 0.20s, that intake noise

, this is piece of BMW history, NA I6 whit ITB´s and CSL airbox..sad that this is gone on new models

Maybe we can live whitout that.

Very cool. A while ago when considering these my only gripe was the fact only SMG was offered although I understand the rationale behind it. Otherwise what a fantastic car.
