If you are going to drive to the track the NT05's are the way to go for sure.At the Mosport GP I went 2/10ths quicker on the NT05's than I did on the R compound Toyos so the grip level is still quite good.They do not work as well as the R compound when it is cooler but you are talking days when it should be warmer so that should not be a problem

Hey thanks guys. And you're right Jaypod, it'll be pretty much a virgin run unless I get to one of the Budd's days in June at Mosport - which I really hope to do. That'll do it then. NTO5's sound like what I'm looking for and will be the most economical over time.

Hey Dunc, Jay, et al......

Got an e-mail back from Joe. This year, all of the festivities are being held at the Watkins Glen Harbour Hotel....it's beautiful but I'll miss the "rustic" atmosphere of the Seneca Lodge.

Tech Insp. will be held at the track this year from 6 -9 pm on the Sunday evening (and again early in the morning on Monday)

I've booked already for the August 1/2 event. This is going to be FUN and I'm really looking forward to learning a few things from you long-time track and M3'ers!!!

Ph. Number for the hotel is 607-535-6116. Joe secured rates that are a fair bit cheaper than the regular fare.

Well guys, I am sorry to tell you all that I cannot attend the track days. I tried to book my holidays for the event last week but the last half of July / first half of August is booked up

Hopefully I can attend next year instead. I hope you all have fun, take pictures/video, I want to see what the Canadian turnout was like!

No, probably not this year. There is no time available to book off from work at the times when I want to go. I was in technical training for 4 months from Oct 25th till Feb 25th so I wasn't at work to book my holidays in Nov when I usually book them so I ended up one of the last in the shop to book. I got essentially what was left over.

I will book holidays early for next year so I can come down to T.O. for a visit and hopefully some track days next summer!

Quick question is there a membership requirement to run w/ this group? Saw this event on motorsportreg.com and now that some of you boys are going I'm really thinking about it! should I just email Joe?

If I don't go to VIR for the NASA event in July I will def come to the August event. Hopefully I can finalize everything by the end of next week.

I called told them I was w/ the Phoenix Group, she mentioned that b/c its a holiday weekend that Sunday night its $309 (no group rate available) & Monday night would be discounted group rate of $130

May 29th-30th
Sunday=$309-329(lake view)
Monday=$130

I haven't decided if I'm going to stay Tuesday night after the trackday but contemplating it b/c its about 4 1/2hr drive to my front door w/out stops/traffic

I'm going to look into what other options are available in the area @least for the first night
