Wheel bolts = 17mm or what?

My socket feels a bit loose on the OEM wheel bolts. I never experienced this on my Audi (either OEM or RAD aftermarket bolts), with the same socket, so I feel it might be the bolts.

Are they truly 17mm or is there a better size to use?

6 point or 12 point? 6 will fit crisper. sockets do get some wear over time and get sloppy, especially if ever used with impacts. perhaps it is time for a new 17mm for your wheel bolts.

No impacts here. I'm more worried the wheel bolts are getting rounded off.

I bought 2-piece RAD bolt for my A4 (ball seat). They supposedly hold torque better, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone else have experience with 2-piece? I'm a little gun-shy about using RAD bolts on the track, simply because my RAD wheel locks became discolored and corroded from this. Perhaps I'll use them for track-only.
