No bra in public?!

So I'm trying to decide whether to put a clear bra on my car or not. Trying to get an idea of how many of you have them, which ones are best, and what color cars they look ok on and what color cars they don't.

Can every post up what brand they have, how much it ran them, what color their car is, and what they think of it.

Thanks in advance.

Personal preference here, but I really don't care for them...

No tits?

Again....no tits?

lol, just kidding. My bumper was all right without one, but then again, I had Silverstone II and it was barely noticeable. On darker colors I can imagine it'd be much worse.

No clear bra, but one thing I've noticed... The M3 bumper cover appears to be made of wax... It gouges so frickin easy it'r ridiculous. I'm thinking about getting a clear bra on the plastic parts up front.

How is 1 mil of plastic going to protect a plastic bumper? Hard paint on hard metal, maybe... I haven't found any evidence that clearbra does shit. Only effectiveness report I've heard is from my boss, and he gets rock chip _thru_ the clearbra.

I've got one and am very happy. We recently had a nearby street resurfaced. Several times my car has taken a direct shot right to the front from gravel and rocks and there is not a mark on it. I'm a big believer in the protection it provides.

I have a clear bra on the bumper, hood just short of the power dome, front fenders, mirrors and rocker panels. I would recommend it, especially if you are going to track your car.

I have tons of rock chips and dings on the front bumper and the hood. But then the car is driven on the autobahn at 120/130mph daily to work.

The way I see it, for somewhat similar price you could probably get a new bumper. So after 2+ years, i'll buy a euro front bumper and put that on.

Since clear bras are only good for about 2 years or so anyways it comes out around the same.

My math might not be 100% on target, but it is close enough to account for the euro bumper upgrade.

No bra...
It's a car and meant to be driven and not kept in a museum.
I consider it patina that is acquired along the way...

Had a venture shield on the front of my M Coupe for 3 years, and I'm very happy I did it. No discoloring. When clean, you can hardly tell it's there. Slight scuffing on the sides where I've hit cones at autox events, but no paint chips as compared to the front of my M5 without a bra which looks like I took a sand blaster to it

I would definitely recommend the bra. I hardly notice it any more and the peace of mind it affords is WELL worth it. People usually say they plan to repaint / purchase bumpers on a regular schedule - but how many really do?

I used to stress in my old car every time I'd be near a truck -- no worries any more. It's great.

By the time your front bumper is complete chipped from small rocks, your car will most likely be in other hands!
