Sooo I tired to put my SLs on today... couldn't even do 1 wheel without my back giving out...

now I need to go spend $ on a massage to get me up again....

should have just spent the $20 at the wheel shop...

The cheapest initial option is not always the cheapest in the long run.

Your back pain is your reward for being a cheapskate. :P

I have tried, many times, to do things on my own for the sake of saving a couple of bucks. I can't even tell you how many times that decision has backfired on me lol. Now, I just pay to have things done. It usually works out better that way.

I'm the same way

I've always paid the $20 to have them swap it, I've done it numerous times

But i wanted to remove the rust on the hub, so it thought I'd just do it now:/

I was actually going to go soon anyways

After every track day, I need to

Neck and back are killing me, and so are my legs...

Usually hannah and I go together cause she's exhausted too. but I can't wait
the SL wheel attempt pushed me over the edge

Whew, Econ at SB is tough.

Yup came to that realization after taking Community College classes during a summer then regular CSU classes in the fall and hearing about how much harder UC classes are later on lol.

I have never taken a UC class, but from my experience, CSU and CC classes are all easy...

Hence why I wanted to just GTFO of there... Ironically, if a class is too easy, I tend to do bad

If a class is challenging, I almost always do well.

I've heard that CSU classes are full of real world examples.

Example: Mary likes apples and oranges equally. If I take an apple away from Mary, how many oranges do I have to give her to keep her happy?

Then you know that the answer is 1 and just refer back to some definition (in this case, Marginal Rate of Substitution) to confirm your answer.

At SB, the same example is given to establish a problem, but the problem itself doesn't really matter. The classes are 10% application, 90% conceptualization. We need to know the math behind every situation as well as understand why we are doing what we're doing. The math isn't very challenging (simple calculus), but the way that it's presented is completely different than any way I've seen it before.

I think it also all depends on the professor. Right now I have a consumer marketing class and the professor on the first day told us that she has 0% real world experience but she has tons of book / research experience since she has 2 master's and a PHD. Then for my real estate law class the professor told us it's her first semester teaching but she worked at a huge law firm in San Diego so has alot of hands on experience.

The one with real world experience relates most of the law topics to what she had to do in the past and the one with book experience mostly discusses academic marketing papers and how some of them relate to the topics we discuss.

But neither of them follow a generic power point / topic instruction and you can see that both of them custom made their own power points and examples.

personally, in nursing school, we have instructors that have NO FLOOR EXPERIENCE and they're trying to teach us that are bridging into an RN program from already being LVNs for so many years.

they try to teach us things and all the LVNs are like what in the flying fack are you talking about?! hahaha... my favorite saying in nursing school: those who can, do it... those who can't, teach... it's sad but true in most cases.

Yeah it's semi true in some cases for me. Since I have a license in real estate I can look up anyone's property tax records in about 5 seconds just by their name. So I usually like to check at the beginning of the semester what kind of real estate my professors own. Those professors that I find that have homes worth 1mil+ are the ones I listen to the most lolol. Had one professor that owned a 2mil+ home in Calabasas, he also sold off his company in the 80's to another company.

Then those who have no real estate or a condo then I know there only teaching because they couldn't really make it out in the real world.
