Brake Warning Lights
My '08 has had brake system warnings on for a little while. According to the selection of symbols, it is apparently related to the 'hill start' feature. Occasionally, the lights are off, but come on as soon as I begin driving. The only operational effect is that stability control is off.
It seemed to occur shortly after changing the front dampers. And I noticed the bracket on the inside of the driver's side damper was rotated inboard (I didn't get it properly re-positioned against the housing), and the swaybar link was rubbing a little against the cable/wire housings that pass through the bracket. I have since repositioned the bracket and regained clearance, but the lights are still on. Is it possible, one of the wires was fractured inside its housing? A system check revealed no codes for brake system failures. |

What are you using to check for codes? If there are warnings on the dash then there will certainly be an issue logged somewhere.
