any pro detailers in the area? (not trying to pay with a liver or organ)

anyone know of reasonably priced detailer in MD (Silverspring) or NoVA area?
I just got my M3 and it needs the whole 9 yards before the winter comes around with a full blast. It's parked outdoor 50% of the time.

PM if your looking. I have a friend that details on the side. Does an outstanding job.

good detail will probably run you about $500+

SpeedFreak does detailing, and offers "packages", he is a member on here as well.

Cliff at Auto Armour does detailing (though he specializes mainly in clear-bras and vinyl wraps).

I'd start with SpeedFreak (Brian) and work you way from there and gather quotes on what you want done.

All do good work and have positive reviews. They just vary in price.

I always go to Raja, has great pricing and is in NoVA. Search the forum for his work and he also does Ventureshield work as well!

I know Raja does a great job, but I find his prices a bit high as compared to others in the area that do the same quality/level of work. For example, for my clear bra I got quoted ~$1500 for 3M Ventureshield product, but had it done for $1175 by another vendor (Auto Armour) and I was happy with the end result.

Just my .02 cents.

Well, Raja isn't $500+ for an incredibly meticulous full detail job inside/outside. That's way better than a "good" detail.

Maybe Cliff has the volume where he can offer that low of a price. Lots of factors that contribute to the difference in price which I'm sure can be negotiated with Raja.

Thanks everyone (Especially Huy) :-/

yes, my details starts at much less than 500$. If it's paint correction then it's based on the condition.

Also, David - I am sorry i didn't get a chance to work on your car. My prices for full kit aren't 1500$. It's between 1k to 1250$ based on car. You had requested a quote that included other work as well such as both rocker panels plus few extra stuff. All full installs also include detail as anyone who has gotten my service can attest to to.

Without getting into a forum war, I would have to say my prices are very competetive.
Also, my works come with lifetime warranty that I cover beyond Manufacturers warranty.

M-Pire : let me know if there is anything i can assist you with and as David has mentioned there are several good detailers and installer in the area. You should call each one of them up and chose the one that best fits your need and gets you the warm/fuzzy feeling.

no worries Raja. I wasn't trying to slight you. I know you do good work. I always recommend you as well as others and encourage people to shop around for quotes, and go with their gut instinct.

But to clarify for the clear bra, I only asked for bumper, whole hood, front side fenders, and side view mirrors. You quoted me the $1500. Auto Armour quoted me $1,175. I went with the latter.

Cheers.

---

M-PIRE, To clarify on my $500+ comment, thats for work I wanted done. My bad on that. So Raja and others may have lower prices/cheaper options depending on what you want done.

LOL> no he's not causing any problems. In fact, he's doing the right thing by not siding with anyone in particular. He clearly listed a few people and gave his 2 cents. It is always up to the person to make their own decision.

Completetion always makes shops offer the best prices and services. Without it, it's pure monopoly.

I highly recommend Brian. He recently performed paint corrections and coatings on my M3s, and a winter prep/detail on my Mini Cooper S - all three cars look awesome!
