I am rubbing at full turn with Michelin pilot sports. Not sure if I should go 245/30/20. Car is lowered on swift spec r springs. Any recommendations in tire manufacture so I can avoid rubbing in the front. Also looking up recommended tire pressure for this size.

I was looking at new pss,Bridgestone, continental

Ur feed back would be appreciated !

I think I have the same size but I'm on Hankooks. I'll check my tire size in the morning, I'm in bed now and not moving. I do rub ever so slightly, it sorta rubbed away the liner in one spot when I turn, but it's been 5 years, they're seasonal and it's not that bad, so I'm not changing them.

Edit... Ok same size as you, slight rub on turns like I said, I do however have the competition package, so while I'm a tiny bit lower them stock I may not be as low as you.

Any thoughts on invos 255/30/20 and 285/30/20. I like front and rear tires looking even in diameter. Seems like the rear tires on my current set up are taller then the fronts

285/30/20 will still be a bit taller than 255/30/20.
Why do you want them even, aesthetics?

Ya pretty much. May even go with a 285/25
And keep 255/30. Searching but not much I can find with this set up. 245 looks way to thin.

A 255/30/20 tire is 26.5" in diameter. Way beyond the max 26" recommended for the front. The front is rubbing not because of width but height. This is the issue with 20" wheels, not much available for rubber.

A 245/30/20 will be under 26" and should work, but to go narrower up front?

I am running 275/30/19 on the front of my car with a 10" wide wheel, but they are only 25.6" tall and I have no issues.

Hey Dave thanks. Will it matter if I go with a Japanese brand like nitto' or toyos. May be better then michelins in a 255/30/20

No it won't, the issue is the tire height not the brand here. Nittos Invo's which I have had before are not a bad tire at all, not something I would ever track with but they are a good street tire. Sidewall is soft but good mechanical grip.

They have 275/25/20 and 295/25/20 available...I would consider this.

So if I go with a 245/30/20 can I stay with a 285/30/20?

I just find the 245 in the front is stretched with a 9 inch rim compared to a 255/30

I wouldn't do it, of course you can but a 245 tire when you have a 285 out back. A 245 is stretched on a 9" rim and it will seem even more stretched on a 20" rim.

The ET15 front will limit your choices..I would go with the sizes you mentioned.

Did you spec the wheels out or did you just buy them with that offset?

Hey Dave I bought the wheels off a member which currently have 255/30 and 285/30 pss
A lot of guys are saying I should be fine with nittos or toyos michelins are more square which cause rubbing at full lock.

I don't think thats the issue, its the ET15 offset of the front wheels.
