We only have 2 dealers here in Minneapolis. Both have long lists and I don't want to purchase outside of the cities, you end up getting awful service and no free rental car. He said a lot of people will fall out because they forgot they had money with them. He was thinking May/June of 2008.

I doubt they will forget if they had money down but are you sure #30? I don't think any dealer on the east coast will see 30 cars per year for the redesigned M3.

That is what the dealer told me...? It could be BS - he was trying to push me into a 335i. He said a lot of people put money down then decide not to purchase or just pass on it. Just telling you what he told me. He thought May/June 2008 was possible.

Just talked to the other dealer in MPLS - thay have a list in the 20's and said the same thing. People have put money down well over a year ago and many will bypass their spot in line. weird...

Been on list since Oct '05 at Auto Atlantic, put down R2K deposit in March and waiting to hear where I am on list. First cars expected in September at R650k. Will probably wait for twin clutch gearbox

Just went on the list at #25. Didn't want deposit. I was told they think 8-10 might drop out, but we're looking at roughly 2 years. Wow.

Just curious, how would you know if you will have 19 car allocated to you this year?

# 5 at MSRP at Lauderdale Imports

Just put down 1K today. Originally told that there were 20 people ahead of me on the list. When I got there they told me that out of the 20, only 4 had placed $$ down for their place on the list. The manager said that the people with money down had preference over the people on the list with no money down even if they had been on the list for over a year. Just an FYI to the guys that think they are on the list with no money down.

Put deposit down two weeks ago. Dealer rang me today, we built car on BMW build system, he mailed me forms to sign etc, and confirmation sheet with spec, price, order nr. Build date said unknown, but was down for 07/07 plate (so between Sept 8 07 and Feb 08 I guess) He also stated mine was first car he had built. Time will tell but I feel very optimistic

My deposit was placed in September of 06'. I think I may get a 2010 model since my 330 will be payed off then.

#31, no money down. I was told it would probably be a year after the first ones arrive before I can place an order.

Bit late in the game but placed my order & paid a deposit for an Alpine White M3 v8 today at Leeds BMW. Currently driving an 06 TTC V6 with £7500 of mods and really looking forward to the M3 now. Just gotta get through the long wait. :-(

I placed my deposit down two weeks ago for my local dealership. Apparently I am the #6 guy in line. I cannot wait!

Ordered and specced my car at Park Lane today.

Decided I would get fed up waiting for Cabrio/DCS, so went for Jerez Black coupe with a few extra bits and bobs.

Dealer couldn't commit to more precise delivery than Q4 2007, but said I would be in the first wave.

Placed my deposit in October 2005, at my dealer here in Cambridge. Been told that i'm No. 6 and should have my one in October/ November this year. I may well wait for the SMG version which is due in Feb 08.
Only problem..... can't decide on the colour!!
