The C6 Z06 has one of the fastest Nurburgring times EVER (beating the Pagani Zonda). What did the M3 E46 or M3 E92 get?

All the Vette will do is spin on its wheels? It can't put its power to the wheels? Do you even know what the C6 has been able to accomplish on the track?

You simply don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you take an M3 E46 to the track sometime and go against a skilled C6 driver so you can get embarrased.

p.s - I just checked HPF's website and the stage 3 only puts around 779HP to the wheels (multiply peak HP of 951HP by .82). That's far far below what a modded C6 can get up to. Stage 4 doesn't even exist. You might as well discuss Stage 32 with 9,000 HP, because that's how much Stage 4 exist.

I have driven an E46 M3 and I definitely do not see the "luxury" aspect.

We should keep modifications out of the window even though the OP talks about a supercharger.

reading comprehension is your friend ...

and what's with the 'Ring times? ...our specific debate was about whether or not a 1200HP C6 Vette will waste any BMW (modded or not), NOT about who's quicker at the 'Ring - a stock ZR1 or a stock e46 M3 . you're making several points that don't even counter what i said...instead they change the subject and trail off in a random direction. make what you will of HPF's turbo kits...i'll concede this one and let the videos speak for themselves as the kits become more popular...in the mean time, i'll let this go for the sake of keeping this thread civil...

OK, let's leave mods aside...

...so you're saying that, stock for stock, you can't see the "luxury" in the e46 M3?..especially in comparison to a Vette? how's your vision been lately?

...J/K. i guess we just have a big difference in opinion.

First of all, I believe that this thread is about a C6, Not a Z06, so that point is irrelevant. And second of all, there is a M3 owner by the name of Ardika in California that owns a 850+whp E46 M3 http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134816 .
I have looked at this car in person at HPF.

Agreed. When did the E46 become a Benz or Lexus all of a sudden?

I was simply saying that you said that the Stage 3 only made 779 whp on the website, but it made 850 whp for the world record breaker's car and this is the one that I was referring to. The corvette isn't making 1200 whp, but rather 1200 hp at the crank most likely.

Arr, it's great to live in the land of plenty, all 21mil of us in area the size USA. Who's living in a septic tank!

C6's have been pushed to 1400 HP on numerous cars, and they aren't even WORLD RECORD HOLDERS. The 1,258 HP car I posted the dyno for was just some average guy who wanted to mod his C6. You're using one world record holding car and it still can't out perform a modded C6. Man you're such a fanboy.

I would get a used 335i over a E46 M3 or a C6.

Isn't the Z06 classified as a C6 gen vette?

Yes, the Z06 is a C6 gen, but the op was referring to the standard C6 I believe.

Wow, you did this same thing with Bimmerloyalist, another respectable member on this forum. Look at my posts, I'm not a fan boy. I simply feel it is necessary to correct someone when they say that a BMW can't compete without an engine swap or when they compare WHP to Crank HP to prove their argument better. I never said anything negative about the Vette or that the Bimmer is faster, I just said that BMW can compete without an engine swap at least to some degree.

You said he said "a c6, not a z06" .. as though the two were mutually exclusive. *shrug*

Your fanboy posts are pretty dumb. Not many people would argue that an E46 M3 would outperform a C6 'vette, straight line or otherwise.

+1.

I've seen ruxp post before, and he tells it pretty straight up. So if you just want to argue with me Krueger///M3, that's fine, but most people who know stuff about cars know you're simply wrong about how an E46 M3, or ANY M3 would perform against a C6, Z06 or otherwise.
