Yes it's for weight saving. Missing a bolt will give a weight reduction of 1oz. LOL

That's a true QC department. LOL

Nothing else.
A company that doesn't get mentioned much is Forgeline. They don't rely on internet forum spamming, they advertise via racing.

Many teams run their wheels in Grand Am and Continental Tire Series (including Turner). Forgeline teams just swept Rolex GT podium at Road America.

Hey guys I read the first three pages and then the last two pages. Did this get resolved in a satisfactory manner, thinking of buying some ADV wheels. Wanted to do some research on the company and found this thread, I was thinking of going with some BC Forged before coming across ADV.

Resolved? It will never be resolved since the wheels are not made well nor have any certifications.

BC forged are better made.. I'm on my second set and they are also a lot lighter in weight.

I guess I used the wrong word, I wasn't sure if they just decided to eventually buy him a set of wheels of his choosing. Hope to hear more responses, because right now I am very much skeptical of the wheels. Despite the high priced vehicles pictured on the website.

Why take the risks. They've shown time and time again why you shouldn't go for them. Plenty of other (better) options at lower prices.

Yeah your right, especially for the price. I just liked the fact they offered so many different color combos of the 5 spoke wheel I was looking at. Perhaps I just haven't done enough research yet on the various wheel companies.

Personally, I was looking to pick up a set of BC Forged before I got my used HRE's. I'd pick them long before I pick ADV, and you can still customize them pretty heavily (different finish on face and lip).

True, plus half the price of the ADV I was quoted.

Marketing fluff. Even if they bought him another set (which they did), why would you want wheels that have been proven to be less than quality?

DAMN you, stop making so much sense. Factoring in the price and the shorter wait time, and lastly the negativity I have found on ADV. True it was in the past and everyone is allowed to make mistakes, I would prefer them not to be done on the wheels I am riding on. I am coming from a bad set of OEM wheels on my 545 and don't need that headache again.

Coming out to my car every once and a while to a flat tire, because of a cracked rim, no thank you.

I can't deny Adv has quality issues but I've been running a set of ADV7 deep concave with no issues for a few years now. I guess it is hit or miss. I would be pissed though if I spent ADV money and had serious issues.

Keep in mind that Jordan also started 360 Forged, which totally screwed a lot of people and had quality issues, so its not like it was his first time around screwing people out of their hard earned money.
And yet, there are still a lot of people who will defend his company. I was banned from the M5 area because I bright to their attention the terrible quality and blatant lying by ADV in multiple threads here. Instead of reading through the threads, the guys there got all butt hurt and offended someone would bad mouth their beloved ADV. Those guys have blinders on and only care about the bling and that its cost a lot. The coat a lot seems to be very important to them.
