temptation. Should I go for it?
long story short. I have a E92 335i DCT with power Kit, performance exhaust and seats, Drexler LSD, KW clubsport etc (no non-BMW engine tuning though) from 11.2008. Had a zillion issues with it (engine blow-up, active steering, xenon, hpfp, injectors etc, and have the feeling more is to come. I will for sure not want to keep it after the warranty is up, meaning in one year. The deal is one of a kind., delivery in May/June which is perfect, would prefer even a bit later.
My dealership is really supportive (got even a M3 training at the track in Mugello as compensation for the hassle) and now they offer me this sweet deal on a new M3. I can specify it like I want, so would be incl. DCT, competition pack etc. It is still quite a bit more expensive then what I currently pay per month for my 335, and the biggest shit is that all the money I spent in modding (especially the drexler LSD, power kit, oil cooler, FMIC) is down the drain, at least for the biggest part, but I am really being drawn to the M3. Hassle free new car, which works on a track without modding and doesn't overheat. Especially at Mugello I noticed what a brilliant car it is, and this was the normal one, not even the competition. Maybe the wrong place to ask but what would you do? |

Whats the deal? I have had a ton of issues with my 335i so now BMW is doing a buy back and selling me an M3 at invoice. Part of the buy back deal is that they are going to refund me a shit load of payments which means I will have a nice down payment for the the M3 I have on order.

Am really tempted, especially after driving it on a track. The car is in a different league regarding feel. I love my 335, and it is really good, also on a track, but the way I could control a complete standard M3 blew my away. |

We had a modded 335, no problems at all when we traded it in at 45k miles. NO HPFP failure and turbos were still tight when I changed the downpipes.
When we took our M3 for a test drive we were amazed at the difference. We did the deal that night and I spent the next few days taking the 335 back to stock. Don't miss the 335 at all

that would be part of the deal, my dealership would make it stock (seats, KW clubsport+ ARB, M3 struttbrace, exhaust, wheels they would swap, and also put in my original airducts of my frontbumber). I have to check the ETS FMIC, and the Setrab oilcooler, maybe I just leave them in |

Dude 2012 is just around the corner. Just do it!
I'd rather go out in a ball of flames in an M3 than being stuck on the side due to HPFP.

sounds like your real problem can't be resolved which was throwing good money (mod money) after a bad investment, (your troublesome 335).
You need to do a part out to get at least half of that mod money back. |
