As a young man I always wanted to race everyone......
Now I enjoy all cars especially if they are taken care of or modified.... I give a thumbs up and always receive a smile and thumbs up in return. OP: neat story and pic!

GT3's and the 911 in general are beautiful vehicles. If I could afford one I'd have it

because i still like to race, but i'm a little bit more selective i like to race cars that are similar in performance that are challenging so the dude in the camry hybrid ain't getting it but a cayman S might get my attention my favourite is the dudes driving an S5 for some reason most people driving an S5 think it compares to an M3 hint. it doesn't

Good story, when I see any M car or a car I'm a fan of I try to show my appreciation with a nod or a thumbs up... in fact the other day I think I embarrassed a father with his two kids in an e39 m5 by racing up to him at a light and giving him a thumbs up. He looked a little confused until he looked down at my car, then he grinned and returned the favor. Much prefer that to people trying to race me at a stop light...
And speaking of which, an s5 tried to race me the other day... and after 6 seconds he got the hint.

If your not really into 911's, you need to drive an average joe 4s 2005 onwards..
If I didn't need to haul kids, bikes, extra people etc all the time, I'd have one for sure! And I am a BMW nut, and I was in the crazy situation of being at a friend's family beach house and I got the job to pick up the pizza..actually had the choice between an F10 m5 or 2009 4s. having driven both, yep I took the 911... And yes my AW m3 still is the best car I've owned (yet). Cheers stu |

People that would choose any high end Italian car (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini) over a Porsche as a daily driver better also have a large supply of Valium on hand.

when i was a young lad and my parents had a 2002, they would flash their lights and wave at another 2002 on the road. i always thought that was so great. i know p-cars still do it, i hope that m3s do, because they are exclusive and low-production enough to take notice.
if anyone is in the NYC area in an M3 and i see em, i will surely wave.
