Possibilities of Saddle Brown in an M?

I'm pretty pissed that saddle brown isn't an option for the new M3, at least not in South Africa. I'm guessing that not a whole lot will change as far as our options go. Does anyone know if it's possible, and maybe a ballpark estimate of how much it would cost, to have a regular 3 series interior color? I can't imagine it would be very hard to produce, considering the M3 will be built on the same assembly line as the regular 3 series.

Even if possible, custom changes arnt usually allowed for at least the first 6 months after launch of a new model.

They are too busy trying to build enough of the standard ones to keep up with demand

Even harder to get in the US. I'm told they are only SOs on the 7-series now. I agree with Cowmoo32 that Saddle Brown would be kick-a*s, especially in a white or silver M3.

It'll cost you about four grand,

at least this is what I've gathered from other people who have written about getting custom/individual interiors (custom paint is almost 2g)

Honestly, it's usually better in my experience (read "MY" for those who wish to
flame) to go to an outside vendor and get it installed custom. I don't know about access in SA for this but here in the U.S. quality leather installers abound and they usually have a wide variety of colors to choose from at a decent price........

Just my two cents............

I understand your point but am really wanting everything from the factory. I probably won't be doing much to this car after delivery.
At least for awhile... (always thought rims with a lip on a BMW looked wicked sic)

Wrong. Red is tacky IMO. Not a fan of it at all. I've always loved CB on Cinnamon. Pretty pissed off I cant get a good dark brown now. Guess it's going to be Bamboo.

It is not realy red, the Fox red, it is more towards brown, verry nice indeed, I saw IRL in Garching, togheter with the black these are the best interior colors, trust me.
Bamboo and gray you don`t want to have.

I have Cinnamon with Titanium and like the contrast.

As far as browns, BMW has Cohiba Brown available in the Individual program for the 3 Coupe (just not in the US) which is very nice:

That's a poor quality pic--think it's richer than that in reality.
