Elektra has been at the NY port since 7am but just for future reference ...
You can make an account at Vesseltracker, search for the vessel (Elektra) and then once you find it you can setup an alert about halfway down the page under "Update status alert (e-mail)". You can also see the Vessel's position by clicking on the "position" button 3/4 down the page. |

so where does customs happen, on the ship? After they take the cars off the ship? I have no clue as to the process.
Wonder if I can get the car by Wednesday of next week??? Hmm.. Please!

I was not following Elektra lately, but I saw this ship this morning around 6:30 AM (Wed 08/04) ... and thought it could be one of ours, so took some photos!

I took this photo quickly and ran out the door to work... didn't even have time to wait for Elektra enter the harbor completely, would have been a much better close up of this beauty... I wish had I posted it right there and then in AM... would have been fun.
She is trully a stunning ship!

If you take a really good look at upper right corner at screen shot of Elektra,- you could see many cars lined up on road... one of them could be yours

customs... how long does it take!?
I have $20 bet with my GF that I don't get it before Thursday of next week. She thinks I'll get it Wednesday of next week. I've never wanted to give $20 away so badly!

Hmm I don't know. I do think ED vehicles may be treated differently by customs because they've already been driven and delivery has already been taken but I'm not sure. It also seems as though Customs wouldn't be able to treat all new vehicles coming into the port with the same scrutiny an ED/vehicle that has already been driven would require. Just speculation though because I wasn't able to find anything that really said either way.
ANYWAY.. I just checked and mine was just updated to "at Prep Center". So close!! |

Bummer.
I emailed my CA earlier today to get an update and he usually responds rather quickly so I'm hoping that he has some really good news when he gets back to me. Picking it up tomorrow or Saturday would be awesome!! |
