That's your starting price? That's really high considering a new group buy is starting. They are your wheels and you can set your pricing but I don't think you will get that much interest in that price.
Good luck with the sale.

I think this is a fair starting price. Someone has already made me an offer for considerably more.
I'm well aware of the posiblity of another group buy (see my first post). These wheels will go to someone who wants their wheels in the next week or so... |

Market/demand dictates price. According to what I paid, the cost of the wheel from the first GB + shipping was $3897. Were folks really thinking Porteno would offer them at $4k brand new? He is doing the reasonable thing trying to see if anyone would want to pay more to have them now rather than waiting for the second GB to conclude--especially if he has already gotten a higher offer. I spoke with Shep about buying extra wheels a few months back and selling them more than the GB price afterwards, and he was fine with it, so it is fair to do this in that respect as well.
Just to disclose my potential conflict of interest regarding this topic, I am currently sitting on my RACs partially because I am snowed in, and partially because I am considering trading my car in for something different. If I decide to trade the car in, I would put my RACs up for sale at a higher price than the GB as well. If folks do not want to pay and rather wait, then the price obviously drops. It'll be interesting to see how many GBs RAC ends up doing on these wheels. If they end up doing 2 runs only, buying some extra sets during the 2nd GB might not be such a bad investment (based on the retail pricing of Champion wheels). My 2 cents...

Anyone with significant experience on ebay knows the secret to a hi selling price is to start the auction low. "start low sell hi" It works. My $.02

^ that might be good advice actually from an auction perspective. If mine go up for auction, I might start them at $4200. Good luck with the sale Porteno.
