Help on bmw performance steering wheel

Hi. I've bought a bmw performance steering wheel on ebay.
I've installed it and noticed that the centre led panel doesn't work (just the centre panel). I've noticed too that the wires have been changed.. Can anyone give me an idea?

Here is a actual pic of the steering wheel:

So what does the seller say? Cause nothing needs to be modified in order to use the wheel unless they put on the wrong car.

He said that the wheel always worked fine in is 120d..
I've opened a case and I think I will have a return although he doesn't wanted.
The problem is that I've already spent some money in installation.

Sounds like the wheel isn't made for your car. You would have to check the part number for this wheel versus the one for the M3 to see if they are the same or not.

Huh? You were told that the wheel is the same? By whom? Do you have a link to the eBay listing?

The mechanic told me that the bmw performance steering wheel would fit my car because I have a sport steering wheel already. They putted my key in that machine they have..
I think this cables was changed to repair something in the wheel.

I have not checked any part number :/ In the listing it was saying that it would fit diesel versions..

Does your mechanic have the instruction manual for the wheel? It's possible that they are not wiring it correctly.

Yes, the seller send me a installation manual for this..
The mechanic told me that the wiring was correct and the centre led display was probably burned..
I don't believe to much in the wiring that is in the pic..

Well you've answered your own question. If the display is bad, send it back.
