Need a 4WD car/suv ?
Hey guys,
my sister's lease is up on her cls63, we are looking at buying a new car within the next month. Since we are in MTL, with some bad winters we would like 4wd - right now, the top contenders are the 2013 x6m, cayenne gts or hybrid s, and cls 550 4 matic (even considering maybe picking up another 63cls, but dont want to repeat the winter annoyances). I went through the Audi lineup today and test drove the a7, etc, and its not for her. We are probs leaning towards the 2013 X6M, but am going to go try a cayenne hybrid. Am I missing anything? or any advice/recommendations - we would be buying and not leasing if that makes any difference re your recommendations. thanks nick

I guess money isn't an issue at this point? You're kind of all over the place. Sedan, SUV, performance, hybrid.
If you are sticking with SUVs, it's hard to argue with the X6M/X5M. If she likes Benz, go check out the ML63 AMG as that is 4Matic AWD. However, take a look at the Porsche Cayenne Turbo or GTS, and if she wants to save a few bucks, I highly recommend the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. |

i guess the only key criteria is 4wd. an suv would be nice, because we all have weather impractical cars, and nothing spacious, really - though an x6m is not either. she is young - 24 - so no way on any ml/gl's etc....but thanks again, i will go check out the new srt8, i loved the old one, thanks man.

I drove the Cayenne Hybrid S. Love the new Cayenne, great finish inside, remarkable amount of room in the back seat and really like the styling. Wasn't crazy about the powertrain so I would suggest a GTS if you don't mind the price.

GT-R an the Audi R8 are AWD.
Personally, from the cars you mentioned, I would opt for the Cayenne.

I have a Cayenne GTS. The best handling SUV made. No doubt about it. Absolutely love it.
