Do you let your friends drive your M3?

I just let our nanny drive it for an entire week while I was traveling on business. I was

the whole week ...

Everything turned out fine

... and it was a whole lot safer than letting my wife drive it

Only my roomate may/has driven mine. He has a e46 M3 too. I trust him because he is almost as OCD as I am.

A very select few who I've witnessed car control skills. So mostly no. No eating or drinking in my car either, food is just one sharp maneuver away from ending up all over the interior.

one shop owner drove mine briefly, and even then I wasn't too excited about it. Nobody else has driven my car since.. too low and 6mt. If someone's going to mess something up on the car, it had better be me!

I let all my other friends as well, but as long as it's a flat street and I tell them not to go up driveways. Someone's gotta drive when I'm drunk...

Why not? Its not like this car is worth over $100k. My ex gf drove it all the time. I didnt care one bit. If she wrecked it I would get a better car anyway.

I only let those drive who let me drive their cars. I let ONE friend drive my M3 (he drives a manual Xterra) and he completely scraped the shit out of the bottom, so I let nobody drive it anymore. I always get people asking me to drive too -___-

Agreed. That's probably the first of various levels of not wanting someone to drive. During the first love-struck period, I want to be very protective of it -- because if someone accidentally taps a curb, or anything even minor, there's going to be that "you were the first person to damage my car."

Maybe I need to go tap a sign-post with the rear bumper early, just to get it out of the way.

The only people who have ever asked to drive my car are guy friends of my college age daughters. To that, I just laugh. I will however let my daughters drive it, but they aren't really interested in my car. Where did I go wrong? Anyway, all that really matters is my BFF Philip will let me drive The Beast. And Philip, if ever you are out my way and want to remember what it feels like to drive a stock M3, you can drive mine. That's what besties do you know!
