Reflector diagnosis

I'm struggling with a Bimmian reflector here. Just wondering if anyone had some tips for me. I suspect the problem is the notches on the bottom of the reflector are not tall enough to grip into the grooves. I've filed the front grooves down to give a bit more bite, but I'm still having issues. Any ideas?

Check out this YouTube video to help with the install. You can skip 2:00 minutes into the video to see the installation. Hope this helps.

Exactly what mine looked like. I couldn't figure it out and put the originals back in. If you figure out what the problem is, let me know.

They had me filing new grooves into these things. All the twisting and compressing left some nice fingernail size dents in my paint. I think I am done with these. I have been filing for about 3 hours and it still won't stay in. It's just BAD fitment. As of now, they are looking into replacing them for me.

Return them and buy painted FACTORY Reflectors, like what IND is selling. They're guaranteed to fit perfectly.

I'll look into it. Returning them should be nearly impossible as they had me file the heck out of them. As long as IND does USPS I might just pick up their appearance kit and call it a day.

I learned the reflector lesson on the last car. I bought some inferior reflectors from a board sponsor for my 328i coupe. The fitment was about 90%. That I could live with. The double sided adhesive was piss poor to say the least. The surface was as clean as a baby's ass and the reflectors kept working themselves loose.
Lesson learned for only $20. I'm fine with amber reflectors.

For all the trouble you are having with the aftermarket reflectors I will add the IND OEM painted reflectors free of charge to a cosmetic package order and ship them USPS.

Bimmian reflector fitment sucks. Had the same problem and came to the same conclusions. Filing, more filing, even heating and bending to get the leading edge to stay flush. :

this is the issue bimmian product sucks. they wont take back parts you dont file on. had issues with them early on and never will order another product from them again. like they are saying get a painted oem and it will snap in quick and easy.

Bimmian sent me a new set of reflectors. Needless to say I won't be using them and will just wait for IND's to come in.

It was only after I received the new Bimmian set that I received a notification stating that, upon sending the old ones back, I had to enclose $11 to pay for their shipping. This is on top of the $12 it is costing me to RMA the old reflectors. So their screw up cost me $22 basically.

Lesson learned: do not order Bimmian reflectors. They do not fit properly.
