SCRAPES!!! I hate driveways!!! :(

Today is the second time I scraped my brand new M3! First time was so bad I had to get the cover behind the front bumper replaced.

Is it possible to never scrape or you will scrape sooner or later? I was wondering if there's someone on this forum that never scraped?

Does changing the EDC from normal to sport really make a difference, or when you will scrape then you will scrape?

EDC is the last line of defense. It minimizes the movement of the car as the weight shifts from front to back, side to side or back to front.

I think that's more of an educated guess. Stands to reason that a stiffer suspension setting will allow for less change in ride height and clearance.

I never have in almost 3 years until a couple days ago. I was so pissed cause I'm careful and I just made a misjudgement on the proximity of the curb. Got the underside of the front bumper skin a little bit.

If your not dropped and your scraping then your not going down/up
the incline correctly unless its on an isane angle lol. Go slowly
like people above have mentioned and on an angle.

Had to start backing into my driveway almost immediately after delivery. It's a pain but worth it to save the front of the car. I've scraped about an inch of felt off each corner of the underside of my car.

This is precisely the reason I don't want to lower my car....
Unless I slow to a crawl, I already scrap in some areas around my neighborhood.

1. Take it slow

2. Its a fiber glass part, its tough but nothing to seriously worry about until you hit a small animal on the road and it goes underneath

I got my car in June '08, it's lowered on H&Rs, and I haven't scraped the bumper yet. I've scraped the felt below the front bumper, but not the underside of the bumper itself.

and +1 on the proper angle on driveways, and avoiding places you know are too steep.
