Nice Le Mans E90!
Please park between a Interlagos E90 and Montego E90 (335i) and snap pics. You will be the first in history to witness the prophecy come true! |

Yes, I am going to Houston shortly and should be able to find an IB and MB car there for pictures. Lafayette, Louisiana doesn't offer much for comparison. I did see a dirty IB M6 in the shade this weekend (my car wasn't around) and for the life of me, I just don't understand having both colors with such a limited palet.
I will take it out to the track at some point, but my Spec Miata fills the track car needs with much less $ on the line... I questioned the salesman about the dealer sticker and he said he would get fired if he didn't put it on (now really, who's car is it anyway...) but at least he did put it on with only a small amout of adhesive pealed off and in fact, it came off 5 minutes after I left the dealership... |

As much as I like both LMB and IB, I agree 100% that BMW must have been smoking some pretty good stuff to offer two such similar colors when they had so many other colors they could have gone with.

Thanks, Kwicker! I've been dying to see the LMB. Great ride. Congrats.
I really thought the LMB would be a darker blue than the IB. I was amazed to see it slightly lighter (but close). I agree with everyone, why 2 colors so close to the same, especially your limited palette of colors is one less with no SG. Just don't get it... When you and TLud get together - post the pics! |

The color is really darker in most lights that I though it would be (less like Montego than I was led to believe). Really, where IB reflects purple, LMB reflects blue - about the same level of difference as Jerez Black and Jet Black (other than the metallic, obviously). But don't get me wrong, after 3 silver cars, I was ready for something different, and while hiding the lines of the car just a bit, I think it makes the right statement for the M3, refined with just a little bit of pow and wow to it...

That is why I went with Le Mans Blue. I am just not a purple fan, but a true blue lover. I've had Captiva Blue Pearl (Honda), Daytona Blue (Nissan), and Laguna Seca Blue (BMW). Any chance of getting some more photos this week?

Yes, I will wash it tonight and get some more photos in the morning, including some interior shots...
TLud, I'll PM you when I've got something that way, the Lamborghini Event at MSR-H this weekend is a 50 / 50 since my daughter has a soccer tournament this weekend also (but in the other direction)... |

Lemans Blue is probably my favorite production color blue. Blue is one of those colors on automobiles that is hard to get right, but when its right, it looks incredible. IMO, The advantage of Lemans over other shades of blue is it looks stunning in every lighting condition.
Kwick, you really don't know how lucky you are to be able to have the option of getting Lemans Blue in the States. I have been waiting for its return in M form since the E39. |

I concur. I was lucky enough to find one on a used car lot a couple weeks ago. It was the first time I had seen Le Mans Blue. It looked stunning on the E39 M5.
