No, but I can't believe that I want the brand that my grandmother used to drive! Thing is slick!

Which one? The Regal or LaCrosse?

I personally want to test drive the Regal when it gets to dealers. I checked the car out in London( as the Vauxhall Insignia) when the car was unveiled back in 2008. I was impressed.

If I was going to get the Regal though, it would be the GS.

x2. i saw it in Greece last summer and was really impressed. It caught my eye plenty of times and was shocked when I found out later that it would be the new Buick Regal. Hope is sells well for them, it's a really sharp looking car

At the rate they're going, I wouldn't be surprised to see them bring back the Grand National. I still drool over that car...

Sorry to say, i think that car looks better than any current BMW. Well done and good luck to GM in bringing over more Opels.

Looks are subjective...however, the ride, quality, etc does not even come close to it. My 4.5-year old e90 looked and drove the same as the day I picked it up. I would like to check a 4-y-o Buick ride...

My Aura is 3 years old and it still drives the same when it was brand new. Now it is a Saturn, and not a Buick, but same parent company.

^ not sure how any car enthusiast would succumb to owning a Saturn. Not trying to be an ass, but you get my point.

Watch it.

The Regal was going to be the next generation Saturn Aura. Saturn originally was going to be Opel's way into the US. My Aura while a G6 in reality, is based off front end design wise the old Opel Vectra. The 2008 Saturn Astra is well the Opel Astra. The 2009 Insignia was going to be the 2010 Aura.

A car enthusiast doesn't care about the badge/brand. Also, if I was in the market a year later I would most likely have gone with the Pontiac G8. But, at the time the Aura was the best car that I liked. It is a good car.

I was coaching my buddy and his dad at a trackday and he rented a Saturn Aura and his dad was in a Nissan Maxima. It was their first time on the track but I had them passing C6 Corvettes, M3's, RX7's, S4's, Ferrari's, etc. by the middle of the day.

I was impressed with the Aura. Its suspension isn't as bad as I thought it would be, especially for a car that big. It was very underpowered on the track. However, I'm sure it's perfectly adequate on the street.

I am pretty confident the Aura isn't a good track car. haha

I am sure your rental was a 3.5 V6 or the 4 banger. I have the XR which has the 252 HP 3.6 V6. In a straight line at least it is about as fast as the 328i 0-60.

Mostly Superior, yes but you cannot deny some things.

Ride:
If you mean comfort, this is surely no competition.

Quality:
Buick shares the top of the J.D Power Survey with Jaguar for some time.

Yes, the 3 Series might be good fun to drive and quicker with the right variant but quality is poor by any standard.

All of them are FWD, unfortunately. All they do to make them is rebadge German Opels, good for the overall package.

Pics? I've had an obsession with that car recently after I've come across a heavily modded one in my area a few times. Turbos spooling up sounded glorious

Wow, the only photos I have of it are 4x6 print photos. No digital cameras back then, just 35mm film. I will say one thing for FI engines, I'll take a turbo engine anyday over the whine sound that a supercharged engine puts out. I bought a new 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra with a supercharged engine and after a year, I sold the thing because I never could get used to the noise that thing made. To this day, whenever I hear a supercharged vehicle on the street, I don't even look at it.
