SC and Texas Inspection

Hi everyone,
has anyone got in trouble with the inspection because of the supercharger and how did you pass it?
I have Gintani stage 2 with Cat back exhaust. What can i do to pass it?
The first week when i got the car back from Gintani in 2010, i went to pass my inspection and had no problems, a year after it wont pass.
Help me PLEASE

A small shop versus say a dealership or chain store.

I don't pay anybody. The shop I go to gets in my car drives it around the block, checks the blinkers, honks the horn and puts the sticker on.

WOW i need to find someone like that
The problems i was getting was: two OBD II emission flags that will not reset. One for cat convertor and the other for heated O2 sensors, they cannot get these two emissions flags to reset or go into that setting that will turn the check engine light off in order to pass State Inspection. they say it needs to have original exhaust put back on and/or software reprogram to enable check engine light to go off. you think if i put the stock exhaust system on it will help?

Does your car have a tune? Is the check engine light on? Recently bought a catless STi in from FL, and it passed w/out an issue @ a nat'l chain. As long as you're OBDII and not throwing a check engine light, and haven't recently, you should be fine. So I'd suggest you hit up Mike Benvo.

If not, put your stock exhaust back on and drive the car until it recalibrates and the check engine light disappears.

The light is not on when im driving, only when the car is to be inspected than they see the engine light on, but I'm not sure if its on the car or on theyr computer. Ive never seen the engine light in the car pre/post inspection

Hmmmmmmmmmm....you got a tune w/the s/c, I'm assuming. Unless you feel like putting the stock stuff back on your car, although I might be mistaken, it sounds like you'll need that coded out.

You need to go to an inspection station in a rural area. Somewhere that has 1 shop in town and he's basically the only guy in town you can get an inspection from. These smaller shops are exempt from having to buy the very expensive computer system needed to read your OBD 2 because they inspect like 15 cars all year. So you get the ol' drive it around the block, test the blinkers, and horn inspection.
