With all the pricing threads lately...
M cars have been added to the ED discount program. Before you could get an M car via ED but would have to pay what you would pay here, now you can get the 7% discount that other BMWs enjoy. I have been told the formal announcement will be out sometime this week, but the dealers are supposed to already know.
Another wrinkle to people debating on buying off the lot vs ordering what you want. |

Sh*t... that would've been great. From what I've read and seen, it's an awesome experience.

Wow great news. I was looking to get a ED M3 next year until I found out they don't offer ED discount a week or so ago. Do you know in addition to ED discount, will the M models come out of dealer allotment (like they do currently)? Thanks!

ED discount has been officially added for the M cars as of Feb 2. If a BMW has an ED dicsount (and they all do now) they are seperate from the dealer allocation (hence the reason BMW can take a lower price for them). However, I have heard the number of M cars available for ED for each dealer will be limited per month (like 1-2 from what it sounds like).

I don't know, I read on autoblog that BMW and Mercedes had their record sales last year for the M and the AMGs. I was about to give up counting on the ED discount.
If I want the car by May 2010, is it too early to consider this? I figured I would need to order by Nov/Dec, 3 month to build, 2 month on boat... I don't think ED discount will be gone by then? |

I'm trying to curb the emotion encapsulated by your handle <jk> as I ordered in time to benefit
Good luck next time - but don't forget - this deal came about because it was The Recession We Had to Have to curb leverage, how the effing ironic is that?!
