My 12 year old son's track day video (video fixed)

For my Son's 12th birthday I got him a Ferrari Track day.

Up until last Sunday he hadnt been behind the wheel of a car so I took him out for around 15 minutes in my Works Mini. He did just fine on a car park in town so he felt confident when he got to the track today.

First up he was out in an EVO8 with an instructor for some tips etc and then another instructor took him out in a Ferrari 360 Roadster. No dual controls, just a bog standard car.

Anyway, we got himt he pro video which has the up front view and picture in picture cockpit view.

The whole event was organised by Everyman and I booked it through Red Letter Days. He loved it!

I would recommend this to any UK parents (not sure who might offer it in the States or elsewhere). Criteria is the child has to be 12 or older and 4'10'' or more. Cost around £100 (and then the pics and video on top which are optional).

Couple of pics

Well, thanks but I dont know about that. I wont be buying them a £60,000 V8 sportscar when they hit 21 like some of the US Dad's do for the guys on here (and good luck to them). Now that would be cool.

Maybe be a Mini Works (or whatever the equivelent is by then!).

+1 just spend tons of time with your son and do cool stuff with him. I think my dad is absolutely awesome and he never had to buy me anything to earn that title.

Letting your son experience something like this at his age makes you a cool dad.

Well, tbh, I took spending time with them and investing in them as a given. Surely that is normal and not "cool"? It is for me and my Mrs anyway. If I didnt, what with school fees and what have you, I would have my own Ferrari (i'm not bitter, honest )

Anyway, point is, 12 year old in a Ferrari! Mad. My 9 year old has some growing to do!

Hope you enjoy the video. All my friends have had to, many times.
