Thanks much S! Funny to see how wildly off-base the mags were at predicting price.
I can't believe how much cheaper the sedan is. Crazy! What are the official reasons for that?

Big day for BMW news. Stuff keeps dribbling out.

I'm #2 for the under $55K sedan! What a crazy deal, I almost ordered a 335i last week, no reason to now. My dealer better stick to our MSRP agreement.

I read this a little bit, i would'nt care for a lot of those options, i'd be happy stock. I'm a little dissapointed the leather is not standard, but i can live with that.

BMW is back on their game. Very shrewd pricing by BMW for the long term. BMW is willing to lose money short term in the States in order to annihilate the competition with pricing. Now it is clear why they waited for the ISF pricing to be released first. The Lexus boys must be sick to their stomach. This is going to put the hurt on ISF and C63 sales.

Now who was it that was getting flamed off this forum for predicting a price around 54 k? He may have won a pile of money on all those bets.

Gadgetman...take the MSRP and subtract 10% and you'll get lose to the MSP! Exactly where they were estimating it last fall. Remember MSP was $49900 so 10% of that gives you what? 57,275-5725=51,500! So about $1-2k diff I'd expect.

In any event this made up for a really shitty day at work for me! I for one had said that all those R&T estimates and car estimate of $65k for a car were for base+options and NOT MSRP. No way folks would shell out $65k to start for a 3 series M or not..would put it too much into competition with alot of its competitors and would be too far a gulf for alot of folks to cross mentally if not financially.

Great news and congrats to all who will soon have cars. Anybody now know if the latest ship debacle in NJ will hold up the release dates? 70+ cars is a lot to ahh make up for production wise.

Totally agree.

Go for the throat pricing. The M3 has the brand and now the pricing.....tough to crack this segment Lexus

Lexus, next time, you may want a better car to go against the M3 too....nice Camry....try a real sports sedan / coupe next time
