Even the GTS is under tired in the rear, the GT3 with its 12" wide rims and its305 rears with the engine out back just gets tons more grip coming out of the corners.
Great video and beautiful course. Dave

The M3 GTS wasn't close to the GT3. I am not impressed with it, the driver in the M3 was trying so hard to keep up with the GT3 which was not being driven to the best of its capabilities. The M3 GTS is priced closer to a GT3 RS but the RS would embarrass the M3 GTS so badly there is no point in putting them together. Fail for BMW.

Ah, just put on a UNC (Tarheels) front license plate. Truthfully, the day I care about what others think and the day I let others influence me, will be a sad day. That blue is fantastic. Germans have always used a wide color pallet. Only recently have they become more conservative, and even more so in the blasé US market.

why is the guy in the gts driving without his harness? you would think all the movement in the seat could only hurt his driving.

However, with that said, BMW did a good job since they've been out of this game for a while now. They haven't really tried competing with the GT3 since the CSL, so I'm glad to see them at least attempting it. I have an interesting feeling that the new E90 M3 GTS/CSL/EVO thing will be a bit better than the current E92 M3 GTS. BMW need to strip a bit of weight off the body panels by making them carbon fiber, but also needs wider rear tires closer to 300 mm. 285s in the rear are just too small for a car this wide and powerful. I'm sure if you went up to just 295s you'd notice a bit more grip where the 285s would be sliding out.
