Canadian M3's in transit

I just checked the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website. My M3 is on board the Asian Emperor which left Bremerhaven Dec29 & is due in Halifax Jan08. I was checking daily as I knew there was a boat leaving on Dec 29 but it looks like they are slow updating the website as I did not think it was on board that boat. Not sure how long it will be held in Halifax as the Canadian release date is Mar22. Hopefully I at least get to see it when it arrives at the dealer.

Go to the http://schedule.2wglobal.com/. Click on cargo tracking. Enter VIN in cargo ID box & click on track button. I am assuming that all the Dec production vehicles are on board. I was told there are 41 total & I believe they were all scheduled for week 50. Hope you see yours is on board, good luck.

Wow good for you guys! BMW better make the MSRP for American buyers $55,000 for making their biggest market wait so long lol.

If we were priced on straight exchange,it would mean the CDN MSRP would be $54698.I would be thrilled if that was the case, but I can only dream

I still find it hard believing what has happened to the US dollar. You all must be happy campers shopping in the US.

To the CDNs with theirs on the boat, can you post pricing info when you are privy to it from the dealers?

I have one of the first batch of M3s. My dealer forwarded an e-mail message to me from BMW Canada indicating that the M3s will be held until the Canadian launch in March.

M3's unloaded in Halifax

The first M3's have arrived in Halifax. The Asian Emperor has unloaded and departed for New York. The dealer thinks they will have the car before the end of January depending on how long the car is held in Halifax. Cars will not be delivered before the Mar 22 release date. Prices are not expected until a week or two before the release date.

That sucks! Knowing your car is there and you can't get it for 2 1/2 months would be the pits! Poor planning on BMW's part, IMO.

Well if that is the case at least my car will be in a better place than the Autoport in Halifax.I am not preturbed by the pricing as I am sure they will be priced somewhat in line with the US, as there is a lot of market pressure to make that happen properly.
A good example of BMW Canada's awareness on the price issue is in the motorcycle division.I am buying a new K1200S for myself and the MRSP has dropped to $16500 from about $21000 2 years ago.At $16500 that is line with the Jap higher end bikes which justifies me getting one to supplement my Ducati

Break in and take it. It can't be considered stealing if it is your car, right?

I doubt that he's the owner of the car yet, so it's a theft (besides some other offences).

Best regards, south

M3

At least I won't need to get winter tires till the fall with the release date being Mar22 especially if the 19" comes with the Sport Cup tires. Once past the second week of April the tires should be fine. Dealer may get tired of me dropping in all the time to see it once it arrives. They have been warned.
