best brand of touch-up paint and where to buy

Hi Guys - my wife's Z4 M Roadster has a few "scuff" marks down on the front air dam where it's taken some of the imola red paint off. It's just down on the tips of the "shark fins" of the Z4M, so I was thinking I could just do a minor touch-up job myself. It won't be perfect by any means, but will help to fill in the color (it's a grey/black scuffed up looking thing now). After detailing it last week, it's now bugging the crap out of me... ;-)

Who sells good touch-up paint for this?

I've never had a great experience using OEM touch-up paint markers. I bought the BMW one for my M3 and haven't used it yet. If it's a large patch ( half of a pinky nail size), it likely won't look very smooth or even, and the color will not blend properly. If you have a lighter metallic color, the differences would be more off than if you have a non-metallic black or white or a darker colored car.

But if you want the best color match, you're better off buying OEM. IMO, Imola Red would be pretty difficult to match and blend, even with OEM touch-up, you'll see what I mean, it just won't blend in 100%...

just my 2 cents, good luck.

Thanks, yep my expectation is that it won't match up perfectly. But it should be an improvement over what it looks like now. ;-)
