Hey everyone,

I have an eisenmann race exhaust system and had the tips powder coated. (They weren't in the best condition when I picked up the exhaust). Anyway, the powdercoating is starting to flake from the heat. My only two real options are to cut the tips off and re-weld them (i'd rather not) or find some new tips. So I just wanted to see if by some stroke of luck someone had some extra tips they wanted to sell. I really like the akra tips and I know a lot of people end up swapping their tips out. Does anyone know if they will fit? If anyone has anything let me know.

I'm confused, because the benefit of Powder Coating, is heat resistant non-anodized coloring. If you had a good powder coating job, it wouldn't be cracking. Most paint will crack under heat, but a true, quality powder coating job won't.

There is three options
A. - Spray paint when needed.
B. - Get your tips anodized (expensive)
C. - Get a quality powder coating job
My recommendation, C. Is to get a better more quality job done.

^ before you can removed the powdercoat paint they have to dip it some sort of acid to remove the powdercoat paint. since its only the tip and hope it can be removed this should be a cheap and easy process.... call a powdercoat shop and they can tell you where you need to get the powdercoat paint and they can have it powdercoat again. or at this point just paint it with high heat paint after the powdercoat paint is gone its much easier and so much easy to do... less headache.
