Can anything be done about creases in the rear seats caused by them being folded down

I know creases are normal and whatnot from wear, but I have some deep creases in the rear seats from them being folded down. I had an exhaust system in my car for about a week with the rear seats folded, and now that I lifted them I have really deep creaes in the bottom corners of the seatbacks. There is also a deep crease (almost looks like a deep scratch) in the piece that covers the ski pass through. I am pretty pissed right now as it seems like a huge design flaw that the seatbelt clickers don't go "in" so that they won't puncture the seatbacks when folded down.

Can anything be done? TIA

Try leather master vital and protectant. But if the leather is physically damaged (punctured, pigment scratched off) it needs to be professionally repaired.

Sounds to me like the leather is just "stretched" a bit. I agree that the design could be a bit better (I actually don't have the fold-down seats but I had them on my E46), and the situation isn't helped by the fact that the M3's leather is extremely soft and delicate.

I'd try to just massage the affected areas and see if that doesn't help smooth it out a bit. In my previous experiences with leather and detailing, I really don't think there's a product out there that's going to help much if the leater really is stretched/indented/marked from the seatbelt buckles. From the sounds of it, you may be stuck with this issue because you left it sitting like that for so long.

good luck/sorry

Dampen (do not over wet) the surface and use a hairdryer to apply gentle heat. The creases should shrink back (note also Hawk Lax comments) then apply LM Soft Touch (ex Vital) and a leather protection product (i.e. LM or OPT)
