Mississippi is a pretty religious state, as far as i know.
I mean here, in San Diego, people are suing the city because there is a war memorial that looks like cross sitting on top of the mountain, which is public property. Apparently a lot of people have problem with that over here and want it removed!

We all Southern Baptists down here! I had never even heard of the Mormon religion until I was 20 and visited Utah.

Thats sad though about that memorial.. If they dont like, just dont look at it. Is it really that big of a deal?

i personally think it is as silly as removing "one nation under God" from the pledge of allegiance.

even though i am not religious, it does not bother me at all. i guess some people have their own agenda...

so what about this Mormon thing you started this thread about? lol

Some guy in Las Vegas put together a stud calendar of Mormon missionaries. Good looking ones at that! And the Mormon church freaked out about it is what I understand and they excommunicated him for it. Stupid IMO since the posers only had their shirts off. Its not like they were naked or anything like that.

Mormon church is not very progressive church to begin with, so im not surprised they did not like that...

They built this gigantic LDS Mormon temple not too far from my house. It was opened to the public for 7 days, after that they ripped off ALL flooring, put in the new floors and now only members of this church are allowed in.

Now see I dont get why they are like that? My church is open to EVERYONE! We dont pick and choose who we want, we open our arms to anyone who wants to be a member. God loves everyone and I think he'd be mad that the Mormon church does that to people.

isn't there some rule that LDS Mormons are supposed to give up 1/3 of their income to the church? (not sure, someone told me about that)

so its "pay up, sucker, or go find yourself a new church!"

Haha, I am a member for the following churches:

Child support church, Rent & Utilities church, BMWNA Financial Services church, 401k church and I need to eat too church. LOL

So even if I was a member of a church church, I would not be able to give away any more money

EDIT: Oh yeah, almost forgot The Uncle Sam Church that takes almost 40% of my income!
