2013 BMW CCA Spring Driving school...

Registration opens on the 23rd, who is going?! I plan on signing up for the Saturday event and applying for group A or B.

Ilias are you going to bring out the new yellow beauty?

Actual club race, not club racing school like last year.

I'm in the club race! (The sign-ups are via the BMWCCA Club Racing site, not the normal motorsportreg process, because of all the other requirements.)

Anyone doing the Racing School?

I'm in the club race too! So far there are only 3 people signed up for it, so we're guaranteed a podium!

FWIW, I know Bimmerworld reps will be here again supporting the school and the races.

Is the club race a 1 day thing? I might sign up for that instead. Do we need a club license to sign up?

Has anybody actually done a club race other than the race school they did last year?

The club race is a 3-day event in the calendar. I haven't done a BMWCCA club race yet, but if it's like other clubs, Friday is likely test & tune, Saturday is practice, qualifying and 1-2 races, and Sunday is more races.

Requirements for club racing are pretty strict when it comes to gear and car prep, more demanding it seems than other clubs. (E.g., window nets need to be <2 years old.) Racing school or license with other club is required as part of getting a BMWCCA club racing license, afaik. Here's the link for BMWCCA Club Racing http://www.bmwccaclubracing.com/Info...ngStarted.aspx

The Racing School last year was DARNED FUN!!! I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're thinking about racing, this is the event. (Also NASA does racing schools, and SCCA does as well.)
