In the 2nd last picture if you look closely you can the fogg lights in the top of the spoiler air entry, you see something white behind the little circles, and it looks nice!

Yeah I saw that, could it be LEDs foglights? Or they made it look like LEDs because of circles in the tape.

BMWs are getting bigger generations after generations...Am I in the minority to think that luxury and comfort doesn't necessarily equals bigger? And to me, sportiness definitely not equals bigger...I understand on a marketing standpoint that a 5 needs to be bigger than a 3, a 7 bigger than a 5 and so forth...But the 3 is getting so big that the 6 now just looks plain fat! Again, just an opinion...I'm still a big fan of BMW cars...I just wished sometimes that the company could lead by example by reducing size/weight of their cars...Be innovative...Be greener! BMW is already achieving great things by enlarging their cars, bringing up the power and keeping basically the same fuel consumption...Imagine if they reduced the size of it...It could mean great weight/fuel economy.

Thanks for taking the time to read this long post! I'd like to hear your opinion on that matter!

No one will use a 6 series to haul people. They should have made it more sporty.Wrong direction BMW.

I'm sure it will be nice enough, but I'm really not feeling the super-wide lower "mouth" opening up front that BMW seems to be adopting. Don't like it here and I don't like it on the E92 LCI either.

At the risk of being flamed myself, I'll go ahead and agree 100% that the 6 series coupe looks giant and bloated. Kind of like a bad resurrection of 1970s coupes. I looked one over at the dealer last week and the back seat looks punishingly small too.

I guess I just don't "get it" where the 6 series is concerned. Maybe it was less of a bad idea about 3-4 years ago when gasoline was cheap? I'll go ahead and say that I think they should only offer M versions of the 6 coupe and convertible and stop pretending where the other configurations are concerned.

I did see a low-slung 4-door concept (supposedly a 6) that looked very cool.

This is off topic, but the forthcoming 528i has been rated by the United States EPA at 21 city, 32 hwy. Not bad for a large, 258hp vehicle.

Cheers!

the signal lights appear to be LEDs but its just little hole cutouts you can see the lines inbetween each cutout.

Don't you think that those mirrors look old for 2011? every other companies have switched to door mounted side mirrors like all of lexus range and new Porsches (check spy shots of boxster and 911) even Mercedes did it on next SLK and CLS (check spy shots). I think BMW design team are not that much up to date. Personally I don't like their work after Bangle's absence. Please tell me what do you think about it.

They need to find a balance between Bangle's innovative modern design and traditional, yet classic design style. Bangle's were criticized too much by others. I'm personally a fan of his designs but I guess I'm one of the few.

BMW has been definitely toning down too much in terms of their design aggressiveness. Which I understand, especially in this kind of economy where trying venturesome moves aren't the smartest idea. Maybe they are taking more time on green technologies rather than design at this point.

Eitherway, while Mercedes and Audis are getting better and better in terms of overall design, BMW is falling behind. I was surprised when E9X already look dated on the road. E46 still looks good!!

Please don't put those horrible LED lights. My head feels like exploding whenever I see an audi from the front. And that's with normal colored lights. If I start seeing orange colored ones then who knows what will happen. The audi ones look annoying and unsophisticated. These ones are annoying, unsophisticated, ugly, disgusting and every other bad thing you can think of.
