How to keep car clean between waxes ?

I have waxed my car but after it rains I see spots on the car. Isn't wax suppose to protect the car and keep it spotless? and what do you do to clean it between waxes?

Any feedback is appreciated

Between waxes...I just give a good hand wash 2-3 times per month. In between washes, I keep quick detailer and terry cloth towels in my truck/garage.

Does the wax stay after using quick detailer?

In my experience it does. Some of the better QD are also wax based.

Water spots are the remaining minerals from the rain that has evaporated. If you leave them on there too long it'll bake in and become tougher to remove. Then you'll need a chemical water spot remover to remove them, or polish them out.

If you want something lower maintenance, I would look into a coating like one of the following.

• OptiCoat
• CQuartz
• Modesta

Thanks for the tips. I was thinking on applying sealant. Or do you recommend opticoating it?

I live in apartment building and I don't have easy access to water or garage to clean the car myself even though I would love doing that. So lower maintenance and long lasting is my objective.

Of course Opticoat is really good , but if you don't go with Opticoat I recommend this because it keeps the car much longer clean and I use it after each hand wash => http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=838860

I have used it a lot previously but it doesn't last long usually after a rain, I need to wash the car again.

Another option is Sonax Polymer Netshield ...protection up to 6 months against UV , bird shit , even roadsalt ect..beading is crazy !
But....
For the moment I'm testing the Sonax stuff on my wheels and I need to say I'm impressed !
Drove the car for about 1.5 K miles and the wheels looks still clean and I drove through the Belgian Ardennes with high speed braking and lots of cornering and I see the brake dust it lies on my wheels and is not sticking anymore on my wheels .
The only downside is for me personal that the shine of the Sonax is more dull compaired to other products .
