The sedan is overpriced and with that mileage I would guess it was winter driven which is a minus. What do you think of the light grey interior?

If you are okay with the convertible than the second car is a better value. Less mileage, not winter driven, new tires.....

It comes down to what you want. Sedan vs Convertible. I think there are better options out there. Have you looked at BMW.ca in their used section? They are going to be priced higher but there is room to negotiate and most are CPO warrantied.

I've winter driven mine and is the same year at the '08, 68k km is alot, wow.

I am only at 48k km.

Still winter driving is not that hard on a car overall. Add a supercharger and that is way harder miles so lets be fair here.

Doesn't that E90 belong to a member here? Some guy from Toronto that moved to California, the pics look very familiar... username Saeed or something similar? Pretty sure he did some mods to his car too (that aren't pictured/described) so I'd be careful. Price seems high to me as well.

Winter driving in Edmonton (I'm assuming that's where you live based on your "location") is a lot different than winter driving in the East. The salt they use there corrodes every bolt and nut under the car. It makes servicing cars more expensive because of the labour required to cut off bolts. Also, it is hard on paint and trim unless the owner pays real close attention.

We have it easy here in W Canada where all we have to deal with is rock chips.

Yeah, Ive never done an Eastern winter so I'll step back from anything about all the salt they use. If so that is brutal for any car. At least ours have some underprotection from all the spray.

Agreed,
you'll regret not having the CPO! But you really need to decide what car you want first. Or better question, what are you using the car for?
Track/practicality/space? = e90
no track/summer roof down driving? = e93

my 2cents.

what about this one http://wwwb.autotrader.ca/a/BMW/M/TH...0211122206054/

Mileage is quite high. But it's CPO. Is the price ok or too high?

Too much, you can get the same car down south for low 40s easily or even high 30s.

That last MR one at Autohaus I have seen. It was parked next to my AW 08 E92 when I bought it. I didn't give it a great look, but it seemed in good shape even with the high mileage. If you go there, speak to Anthony and tell him Jason sent you that bought the white M3 in November. That car has been sitting forever, I suspect you could get a decent deal on it and Anthony was a great person to deal with.

And just to add, while you could absolutely get one cheaper in the states, that's a different buying experience and it has to be worth it for *you* to do so. There are some hoops to jump through to get the car here and resale will always be impacted by an imported car. I paid a bit more than the MR one at Autohaus, but it had 40k kms, loaded, cpo, and I reaalllyy didn't want to deal with importing a car - which in the end (after all is said and done) didn't save me that much over buying local. I also didn't want to give up the free service.

what would be a good price for this car? I'm guessing $46-47k. Is that too much or too little?

Its hard to say since we don't know what the dealership has in the car - but I don't think an offer of 46 is unreasonable as a starting point. Expect to go up a bit from there I would think. Sadly, this is the reality of Toronto pricing right now. In my opinion though, there are better cars out there with lower KMs. What's your budget? Are you keeping an eye on the bmw.ca website? Inventory is constantly changing and lease returns should start coming in soon for 09s if that's within your means. If not, 08s should become more plentiful as march/april come since they are higher volume selling periods, hence higher volume lease return periods.
A lot depends on budget and timing (patience?). I had none of the latter. Don't regret it for a second.

They lowered the price on that red coupe for $49999. I emailed Anthony and after a few back and forth, he's firm on the price. He says that price is his cost price since he bought it for $46731 and added $4200 to bring it up to CPO standards. Does that make sense to you? I have a hard time buying that a dealer would pay almost $47k for a 2008 car with 74000 km on it. I thought they buy their cars dirt cheap from auctions?
