Not an M3 but...

Sold my E90 330i, and picked this up to serve as the daily driver duties once the M3 comes in.

I have ALWAYS wanted an E38, and I got my favorite model. 2001 740i (short one) with the M Sport package.

More pics to come, they are detailing it and I am picking up tomorrow!

Cant wait!

Its amazing how much this car can do for a 2001. I just bought the DICE unit and once its connected I get get bluetooth phone and audio streaming, ipod connection and sirius sat all on the OEM main screen.

I also uncovered some cool stuff when I was researching that I didnt know.

The M sport model was more then just an appearance and suspension package.

You get a more aggressive Diff (3.15), high stall torque converter and unlike the other autos in the regular 750 and 750 it came with the steptronic.

Anyway I cant wait to pick it up!

Used to have that car too - it was great. I always keep an eye out for a low mileage one just in case...

Thanks! I have been on that site and any others when I was doing my search to see what to look out for.

This one isnt bad, I mean its not 50,000 but its just slightly over 100k, not bad for an 01.

Best part about it is the guy I bought it from owns a German car shop that specializes in BMWs and he is an active CCA member who sometimes sponsors events. I think we talked about cars for 2 hours before I even bought it.

This cs was sitting in his lot along with a bunch of old M6's and E30's

That was my dad's first BMW back in the day... 740i sport with black exterior. I loved that thing, was like a James Bond car from one of the Brosnan movies.

That definitely started the BMW obsession for me lol

Thanks, maybe I am getting old, but I forgot how nice it was riding on larger series tires.
