Black wheels have no definition, so you can't really appreciate the design or beauty of the wheel. At a minimum, you need a machined or polished rim for definition. Otherwise, you are just seeing the body riding on dark wheel wells. Secondly, quickly the tires get dirty and you will see dirty brown tires on black wheels.

To me - black wheels just end up looking like steelies at a distance. You can't make out the details and the ZCP is a really good looking wheel in silver.

Don't do it. You would be doing the opposite of what you need to do in an area with bad roads. You need quality, strong wheels. Not cheap wheels that are surely going to bend. Not worth the hassle.

Black wheels have no definition in pictures due to lighting / exposure. In person that is not the case. Black wheels look great on light colored cars.

I used to think like some of you guys here about black wheels, silver are more classy, look better, etc until I finally decided to powder coat my flawless oem Zcp silver wheels to satin black and all I gotta say is wow! Glad I did, I'm 40 y/o so no boy ricer here and not my first M3 either. Silver looks good but satin black looks so much better and I can't believe I didn't do it all this time
