This is a 50" tv

http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-PDP-50.../dp/B001AAPEDC

This is the 60" monitor for a hell of a deal.

http://www.artofsale.net/Magento/ind..._store=default

This one is a monitor too so no tuner or speakers and does not come with a stand. you can buy a stand separate. Its a 50"

http://www.google.com/products/catal...091&sa=title#p

these things are selling out fast. just a two weeks ago i was able to find tons more on the web. buy now or there gonna be gone by xmas.

Just for reference, the models are:

50" elite tv - pro 111-fd
50" elite monitor - pro 101-fd
50" tv - PDP-5020FD
50" monitor - KRP-500M

Monitors are a much better value if you dont need the tuner or speakers. the 500M and 600M dont have the ISF controls to calibrate the tv's, but theres a patch out there that you can buy to unlock them. Im not sure about the 5020 as far as having ISF capabilities.

The only LED tv's I saw that impressed me were the ones that were actual backlit LED (i.e. samsung 8500 series), not edgelit LED

backlit is much better. they only use edge lit because then they can make them thinner.

oled will be the best because no light source is needed. each pixel gives off its own light. so for a black screen the pixels can be shut off producing a perfect black.

mitshubishi made like a 120" oled but it was just a bunch of like 4 inch by 4 inch squares put together. it looks good from far away but you can see the individual squares when your close up.
