Jeep Cherokee SRT8
So I'm going to be in the market in the upcoming months for a new vehicle to share space in the garage with my ///M. It must be an suv. Ill be trading my 2006 nissan frontier in for hopefully the srt8. That vehicle is just calling to me. I know it has terrible mpg but i don't really care. The only thing Im wondering is if there are any Suvs out there ballsier then this beast that I'm overlooking. I briefly thought about the trailblazer ss but the latest model is 09 and it seems a bit small. plus i passed one today(srt8) on the way home and that engine note was just I think that jeep will compliment the ///M very nicely. Thoughts?

The lightnings were useless and one dimensional. They were perfect for the west coast, but here in the east, its just a big, heavy, rwd 2 seater. I'd rather have a sports car.

Would love a Raptor for a second car.
M3 - road car Raptor - everything else! Plus if North Korea ever attacks, I need a ride that can handle something off-road since all the major highways will be gridlocked or blown apart. |

Raptor for zombie apocalypse, otherwise I would much rather have a lightly used X5M over an STR8 (as much as I like the current GC in general.)

One of the car magazines (C&D, MT or R&T) just tested the SRT8, X5M, Cayenne Turbo, and ML63. The X5M won, but the ML63 was extremely close. The SRT8 placed last and was the slowest among these fast SUVs, but it was also the least expensive.

Are you trying to buy new or open to slightly used?
I had a '05 Cayenne Turbo and LOVED the thing. Will definitely get another one at some point. With a tune, IPD plenum, diverter valves, intake, bypass pipe and exhaust it was an absolute rocket. I think 575 hp after all that or something? What I loved about the 04-06 Cayenne is that they were PROPER SUV's. Trick, diffs and offroad tech, incredibly capable off-road and on. Inside really nice as with all the typical Porsche touches and I loved the alcantara roof. IMO they still don't look too dated. I know you can easily pick up a 50k mile '05'ish for mid 20's. Buy an aftermarket warranty and you're good. Awesome, awesome trucks. This was mine. Sounded wicked. Loud but not intrusive inside.

while i havent driven any of those mentioned here, i think the previous-gen SRT8 looked a lot more menacing and beasty than the new one...
as far as new, the Cayenne Turbo definitely looks the best... |

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/raptor62.html I'm losing my 2012 Raptor to the big D but hopefully can buy a Hennessey2013 when they arrive. They're great dd s, except for the gas mileage.

Have you seen the brand new Range Rover Evoque? It is one nice looking vehicle.
Dave Ps. I had a new Cayenne S hybrid as a loaner and it was very nice too. |

You won't be disappointed with the new Jeep SRT-8. Spent many hours driving it as my friend usually takes his Maserati and leaves the keys to the Jeep at home. The seats are to die for.

+1.....
I love my Raptor!!! Obviously not as fast as the SRT8, but it still moves, I pull my boat and dont even feel it behind me, plus I did 95 MPH down a dirty trail road near Palm Springs.... But if your not going to use the Raptor for stuff like that, then no sence it getting it cause it cost me $60k....
