Its official...Ford Focus RS is here...
http://www.focusst.org/forum/focus-s...peed-last.html
2.3L Ecoboost engine from Mustang but with larger intercooler and different twin scroll turbo. At least 315hp AWD Michelin PSS tires plus the option of Mich PSC2s. Well just read about it...Ford is on a tear. Dave

*lol* I was just coming in to post about this car. Yeah, I'm pretty impressed that we get AWD (finally!) and not a FWD variant. Supposed to be "well in excess of 320hp/316lb/ft". According to the Yahoo article, the suspension is Ken Block tuned, which is a bonus.
Given that the 2.3 turbo Mustang has already been tuned to run 12s, this thing'll be a rocket as the boost gets turned up and the aftermarket starts churning out parts. |

Looks great! Hopefully the car sells so companies bring over more of these hot small cars.
With this and the Golf R coming, it looks like the competition is heating up.

http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_sh...eva-auto-show/ Yeah, I know it looks all kinds of WTF, especially with that rear wing, but I'm a Honda guy from back in the day, and I'd buy one of these. Last edited by whats77inaname; 02-03-2015 at 11:24 AM.. |

Maybe then BMW will decide to bring the M135i LCI. I'd buy that in 5 door form in a heartbeat. Seriously.

With the EVO gone, I can't wait to see what's done with this. It's late to the party but Im betting the aftermarket is going to go nuts with it.
My issue with these cars is that you can never get them in coupe form. It's always 4-door. After the late 90's you can't buy a inexpensive small AWD-4cyl-Turbo-coupe. Sad really look how great the eclipse *was* up until 1999. Same with the Subi RS 2.5 I really like my 92 Talon. It was a great car. Last edited by Disturbed; 02-04-2015 at 11:35 AM.. |

I hope Block influenced ford to allow a LOT of power to go to the rear wheels. I am interested in the mechanics of this AWD system. Should be a cool little track monster.

Torque vectoring (brake and rear mechanical), up to 70% rear tq bias, up to 100% rear torque sent to outer rear wheel (tq vectoring) and a drift mode!!!
This is in serious contention as a next car. |

100% of the 70% going to the rear wheel is weeks what they mean. This is going to be a game changer of a car.
