Eisenmann Sport, xpipe + tune, what to expect??

Ok, so I didnt win to many friends in the first post I made asking if the m3 was fast enough.

I was in an 09 with mt the other day and I have to say its a very nice car. There is one running at the auction tomorrow and I will be bidding on it.

Two questions:
1. what kind of power gains should I expect with the titled exhaust, tune, and maybe challenge xpipe combo. Plus air filter and pully. I suppose I'd go with power chip. I ask because the car could still use a little extra...
2. would you say eisenmann sport, plus a high flow cat xpipe is as loud as say the race version just cat back?

Let me just throw in this dead horse for you guys to preemptively deal with the negative comments since I know these are well covered topics and I recently found out how touchy some people on here are haha.

Thanks for the input

I believe with a good XPipe and a proper tune, you can gain a good 40-50hp!

Evolve Automotive posted a dyno of their tune with their XPipe and cats, but with the OEM muffler. They gained I believe 46hp. Throw in a high flow filter and some pullies, and I'm sure you'll reach a little over 50 additional ponies.

I believe the biggest part though is choosing the proper tune to tie all your modifications together.

If thats the case, any suggestions on a good combo to go with an eisenmann sport? I thought a challenge xpipe with hfc was good but I really don't care. Whatever combination with whatever tuning company that has yielded the greatest gains is what I would get. With the eisenmann that is, I like the sound the most.

Im in Orlando so I doubt anyones local to tune.

If you are set on having HFCs, the most gains I've seen from solely an XPipe and Tune was through Evolve Automotives. I know they use really high quality and free flowing cats. They've used HJS cats in their other systems, I'm not sure if they do on the E92 XPipe.

I have not seen too many dynos of the Challenge Sports XPipe, but I know they make high quality products. You should see where they source their cats from.

I would personally go with the following:
  • Evolve Automotive Tune
  • Evolve Automotive XPipe
  • Challenge Muffler (soon to be announced)
  • Macht Schnell High Flow Filter
  • Macht Schnell Pullies

If you are willing to go completely catless and get the most power:
  • Evolve Automotive Tune
  • Challenge Race+ XPipe
  • Challenge Muffler (soon to be announced)
  • Macht Schnell High Flow Filter
  • Macht Schnell Pullies

I knew it would sound louder. Are you saying it will not have the same kind of note? If so is that a negative thing?

Yes they are originally. They also recently became a forum sponsor/vendor and working with the US Market. There are a few people on the forum who are in North America and have their E9X M3 tune.

I personally have their E46 M3 tune and they remotely tuned my car on a dyno.

it really depends on your muffler. The note definitely changes and many straight through exhausts get raspy.
