Advice on e90 m3
Hello everyone, I am a long time lurker, short time poster. I am in the market for a newer bmw. I was sort of shut down in regard to the 1 series M coupe because of availability and lack of colors, so I am looking to buy within the next 2 months. I was also looking at the 135i but I think it might be too small for me To be honest, I've always wanted an m3 sedan and have decided it's time since I just got a $1500 per month raise. I basically want Interlagos or Le Mans Blue, 6mt, Tech pkg, w/ speed cloth, black, or silver interior. I would prefer an 09, but I've found most of the 08s are 6mt. I am looking at an Interlagos Blue 08 and want your opinion on price and other factors. It's very clean and I'll prob test drive this weekend. Thanks everyone.

Starting with the MY2009 the new iDrive was available. It's leaps and bounds from the previous generation. Other than that, the IB 08 described in your link looks good.

$47K? Say what ?
Its an 08 with MT and 28K miles. Too high. I believe that's close to the going price for my car nowadays and I have an 09 DCT with 11K miles. I hope your'e going to deal that number down. On the plus side, it looks clean and be sure to take a good test drive and check its maintenance record. Good luck.

You're in socal. There will be plenty of options to chose from when it comes to M3s, even the rare E90.
Have you considered leasing? The rates now are fantastic, and if you're concerned about high mileage, it's only $0.15 per mile if you pay up front, $0.16 if you add it during the lease, and it's refundable if you don't use the mileage that you prepaid for. PM GOLFFRR on this forum and he can quote you what they're offering now (his family owns a socal dealership). I have my E90 on order for ED in May, and I have almost every option except for DCT and it's coming out to around $980/mo with zero down for 36 months, with 20K miles per year. |

Yes, but you need a new shift boot or cut off the old one to retrofit it with the new knob.
Cheers.
